About

Hi! I am an artist and community builder based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Though born and raised in small-town South Dakota, my love of cityscapes and the architectural details lending character to built environments serves as the foundation of my studio practice. Primarily painting in watercolors, my work often depict buildings, façades, and other manmade structures, which I render with harsh shadow and deep color achieved through extensive layering.

I graduated summa cum laude from Dakota Wesleyan University in 2023, with BAs in studio art and digital media design (the latter of which built my skills in graphic design, web design, photography, and marketing, in addition to allowing me to hone the development and implementation of digital content strategies). This provided me with a foundation to which I often refer in my professional life: I have designed and maintained websites for nonprofit organizations, and I’ve written copy and created content for their social media profiles, as well.

What else have I done? Digitized exhibitions for Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA) and developed its archive of previous shows; photographed events in Midtown Atlanta, including MODA’s Sunday Funday program; and wrote, edited, and proofread exhibition text for "Please Be Seated: A Century of Chair Design" and "Al Dente: The Design of Pasta." I also assisted in the curation of “Level Up: Pixels, Play & Progress” and managed Jane's Walk Atlanta 2024.

Now, at the High Museum of Art, I coordinate programs like Access for All and multiweek Studio Classes. Through gallery teaching, I seek to strengthen connections between our collection and our community. Put simply, I am committed to connecting Atlantans to art, ideas, and each other.
